Image
Well thebaby's room is more done. We now have curtains, her name on the wall, and several other great touches. The video is not great, as the light interferes, but jsut assume it is all the right color. And I posted picutres to go with and make it more clear.

Couple of days of fun

Tuesday night, at 11:30 we get a call from Brad's dad, saying that his mom was on her way back from Tenn and got in a car accedent in Mt. Vernon. She says she is okay, but could we please go get her as Dad is 4 hours away still in Tenn. So we both get up (brad can't drive casue of his leg injury) and head out to Mt. Vernon. About the 1st berea Exit I have brad call his mom to get directions and she has gotten a ride with some stragner she met there. Brad says meet us in BErea, she says she doesn't want to be a bother, we say, you are family no bother. and we are already there so might as well. So we meet her. She does look fine, though a littel shaken. then we drive her home, get her set up and went home. I got to sleep aroudn 2:30, and up at 5:30 for work. So wed I was exhaused Wed. -Work all day, not a great day. Then I have have to stay for interviews for the other possible 1st grade position. SO that last til five. It was interesting being on the other side o...

Memorial Day fun

So On the baby front. Melissa drove me to the Hostpital for my monday NST (non-stress test). Because it is Memorial day I actually had to go into the hostpital. I got a room, and they made me put on the little hospital robe. After about 101 questions about my medcial history. They hooked me up to the NST machine. She had a good strong heart beat, and lots of movement. She still doesn't like the moniter. she kicked it with a vengence today. Since today was the fist day of 33 weeks and that is when i lost Hope this was an important visit. But they said she looked like a text book baby, movement and heart rate were great. They kept me about 40 mins and sent me on my way. on the Brad front. He has pulled his groin again, this time on the left side. It is not as bad as last years, but still not great. He is having trouble getting around. He stretched before the game, but ti was already sore from a very long bus trip earlier in the week. Oh well. If he rest and takes good care...

So I got this new Program, that will let me do scrapbooking myway. the way that doesn't include alot of paper, and all that other stuff. It is quick and easy. It is all on the computer. you make this new page and then you print it out and put it in your scrap book. Nice and easy. But I wanted to show you my 3d photos and my new program. I am excited. In other news brad pulled is groin muscle again. This time on the other side. This time he went to the dr. the day after instead of going to kings island instead. So we think that it shouldn't be too bad. Hopefully he will be able to get back on his feet in a week or so. hopefully by the time I get have the baby and can't do anything for myself.

are you bored yet.

SO guess what I went to the dr. again today. That is right again. After a very long, and fufilling day at the STLP confrence, which we didn't win, but we had a blast. And I got ot be on teh floor of Rupp arena (which is only a thrill to the UK fans). But I sent the kids back on teh bus with the other chaperone, and Brad picked me up and took me to the dr. We fell asleep on the couch in the waiting room. What can I say we are both beat. and the Allergy season kicked in, so strong, that Ihave a runny nose, flushed face, dry sore throat, and the beginings of a nice cough. but nothing threatening to the baby, just enough to make me misreable. According to the dr. I am officailly "Great with Child" She is doing great, good size, good reaction to outside noise and stimulation, good heartbeat, good movement. All is good. See you on Monday. He is thinking about 37 weeks so that puts me on about June 24th (which is neat cause that is Joel and Sonya's wedding anniversary...

Baby Showers, and check ups. Yesterday was my baby shower at Brittany's It was loads of fun. I got lots of really cute pink girlly stuff and a few things that were UK blue that brad will love. lots of people I knew came. There were many from church, as well as Ruth Ann, my teacher intership person, Sheryl my moms friend from college who ahs know me since I was little, Grandma Gullett, Joyce, Mom Gullett. There was even a special surprise from Mom Chick. Since she is in a forgien country she sent pictures of herself coming to the shower as well as pictures of the cute little dish set she got for Laurana. I got a lot of things I will need too and some I didn't even know I would need, but other moms said " yes you will need that" I am thrilled. It may take me a while to get it all washed a put away in teh right spot. But I am looking forward to doing it over the next few weeks. Check up. To day was my check up with the PDC. I saw dr. milligan instead of O'br...

A strange new feeling

So this strange new feeling is the one of not having to go look for a job this summer. Every year, every single year, since I got my degree i have gotten pinkslipped and had to look for a new job over the summer. Usually it took til the last minute before I could find a job. Now the reason for the pink slips was always I was low man on the tootem pool, last one hired. the one in the position that got cut, or "we pink slip all new teachers." and this has always been a source of great stress and worry during hte summer. Lots of crying praying and sleepless nights. One summer we even considered buying a gas station with brad's parents, even though I don't want to own a gas station I want to teach. So to make a long drawn out trial short, I don't have to do that this summer. This summer, I can lay back, having a baby worry about other things, and know that next year I will be teaching somehwere I like with people I like. It is a huge answer to prayer. I don...

Dr. 31.5 weeks

So we took a FRAM day. which is our idea of a break in the middle of the week. It was supposed to be a complete relaxing day with a dr. appointment at the end of the day. Instead, the dryer wasn't working, brad's computer had a critical error and we spent the whole day trying to recover. In the end, the dry only works on one setting, UGH and we bought brad a new laptop cause he needed a computer and we thought we should have a laptop as one of our computers. Anyway, we went to the Dr. I am 31.5 weeks, they hooked me up to the monitor, this time it didn't take any time to get her heart. (new machine was nicer) then they left me and I waited for the Dr. WEll he was busy so I was on the machine for like 50 mins. He came in and laughed said well they were sure nothing was wrong cause they had so much paper on her movements and heartbeats. Of course right int he middle was this huge jump where brad made me laugh and I was having trouble stopping. It looked funny. But he sa...

Dr. Today

Dr. today, and it starts. Today I got a Non-Stress Test. to make sure the baby was not under any stress. She was resting and the nurse poked her and she got upset and started moving around. then it took three poeple to find her heart beat again enough to moniter. The dr. and two nurses poked and moved the moniter around for a while then finally got it. She did not liek the moniter she kept kicking it. Not around it kicking it. Like she knew it was there and it bothered her. It was funny, brad could see my belly moving from across the room. Anyway, all is good she is healthy and moving around alot. I go back to Dr. Parrott next thrusday then the following week start going to the dr. 2 times a week to be monitered until she comes.

Hope for the Future

Well I got through the week. now I just need to work on my snippy behavior. There have been several times this week when I have snapped about something, and Brad thinks I am snapping at him, which I am not, but my tone has been very angry and my goal in this coming week is to work on that. I want to take a momemnt and talk about my Hubby. He has been the very best these past couple of weeks. Being supportive with all my after school stuff. He has been patient with my sudden outburst of emotion (yes I cry alot) and he has been encouraging in this pregnancy even when I feel down. He plays softball, and has become a great pitcher (by church leauge standards) he loves to play and plays like a active 36 year old he is not throwing himself around like those 20 somehtngs but he his not slow and unresponsive like the older crowd. he does a great job and I am very proud of him. while I finished one book yesterday, he is presently reading, and keep ing track of like 12 books. It is very im...
