Rough weekend.

Image
No, not really dealling with stress this weekend. I am sick I was at school friday giving CATS testing, when I felt weak, overheated, nausios and like I might pass out. SO as soon as I was done with testing, I took my kids back to thier room, turned in my test and went to see the nurse. (lucky me, my school nurse use to work for my ob/gyn. She left that for the less stressful job that let her be home with her kids, but she is good with working with pregant women). She had me lay down and gave me some orange juice, said she thinks I jsut got over heated.. but when she took my blood pressure it was up to 130/90 which for me is high. So she had me lay down for a while, and suggested I go home and put might feet up. Ihad to wait until brad was done with his testing over at the middle school, since we ride togehter. I called the school and told the secretary to have him call me when he was done. Which he did all worred. By then the nurse retested my blood pressure and it had dropped back do...
Okay I am going to attempt to explain the feeling of overwhelming stress that is on Brad and I right now without sounding like our whole lives are misrable, which they aren't. so I will break it into categories Stresses, and Blessings and see how it goes. Health Blessing- The baby and I are in perfect health. blood pressure is good, everything is right on track. I only have 8 weeks left til my due date. Brad is getting the medicences he needs because we have health insurance. Stresses- Brad's allergies are at their worse this time of year, meaning that he can't breath well has to supplement his regular meds with extra allergy meds and feels drained a good bit of the time. I am growing everyday which means water weight, swelling and the inability to move well (and my feet hurt). Brad has also gained some weight with me and feels stressed about that, but it is hard to diet when your other half can't. Work Blessings- we both have jobs for this year, that provide us with he...

Finishing out the week

Friday- I stayed home. It was my last chance to rest before testing began, and my feet had been really sore from all the walking during porfolio time. SO I stayed home and slept, and did laundry, and dishes, and cleaned, and read. It was a nice relaxing day. Then brad came home and we had dinner. then we went to the first softball game of the season.. don't worry I didn't play. I tossed the ball around al ittle while everyone was warming up, but no bats, or hard flying balls for me.. and lets face it right now I waddle not run. Brad is the coach and that scares him. He let himself be the guy that didn't play the first half of hte game. In true Frist baptist Co-ed style we didn't have enough girls, and Brittany's mom had to play. We lost it was bad.. but everyone made it ot base at least once, and the new girls all did pretty well.. (although brit screaming and dodging hte ball thrown to her late in the game was pretty funny. but she recovered and did really w...

Dr. Appointment

Image
Okay, after helping finish up 4th grade writing portfolios yesterday, I picked up brad and we went to another Dr. Appointment. We got an ultrasound.. pictures to follow. It appears that my placenta (some scientific name i can't remmeber) has nicely moved itself out of hte way. They were a little worried after an early ultrasound cause it was in teh way for the baby to come out. but it has moved. My blood pressure is still 120/76 so no worries there. The heart beat was great. and the Dr. spent maybe five minutes in teh room with us.. saying.. looks good. So that is a good report. Oh and I had her check the baby is still a girl. so I am not as worried about that anymore. I would not move my hand so they could get a good picture. See my foot right up agaisnt mommy's organs.. yep that is me kicking. There is my other foot being good And my little profile, although I still wouldn't move that hand. After the appointment we went to a consignment shop and bought me a really ni...
Wed- ended well. we did nothing but relax all day. Thrusday- Friday- went to lexingotn, regiestered at Baby's R' us which was fun (for me.. not so much for brad) then we had lunch got brad's allergy shot and enjoyed life. came home and worked on school work and hung out. Saturady- house work all day. you know clean all that fun stuff that we should have done all week but didn't do. Sunday- SS, church, lunch at the mexican place, then home for brad to finish as much of his presentation as possible, a very nice nap. Monday- school started up. Blitz (which meant brad was teaching on own) went okay. I had a great day back but then my job is pretty good anyway. Oh and the mad dash to finish 4th grade portfolio's has set in. If we get a free minute that is what we are supposed to work on. Got food, went home and slept til "New amsterdam" came on then went back to sleep. Brad stayed up until about 3 and then got up at 5 for school ( and woke me three times to ask...

Okay.. yeah we got the crib put up. Tuesday- AFter getting back from Grandma's late teh night before, we got up and went to the dentist. My teeth look great. Brad has two cavities. I guess I am just blessed. THen we went grocery shopping, and then in the evening had our last volleyball game. We lost, but we tried really hard. It was tough. we just didn't have the team that could win, pat was gone, and I was even slower thisweek than last. I have posted some pictures so that you can see I really did play. Wed.- Not over yet, but we got up and after some breakfast, brad helped me put the crib to gether. it is as cute as I thought it would be. I am so excited. I took several pictures so that everyone could see. The little Teddy bear which was given to us by his mom is named Keightly after the UK equipment manager Billy Kightly whi worked for the team for 48 years. During the last few years he slept through some of the games, but he was alwasy at the end of the bench. He p...
