For those of you in the Area, we are haveing a new years eve open house/party. Starting at 10:30 and running until everyone leaves. Feel free to stop in and visit.

Christmas day started well. Brad and I got up and had traditional Christmas Waffles. We opened our presents to each other. Which were complete surprises...well okay we were with each other when we bought them but that is beside the point. Then we picked up the brothers and went to brad's parents for christmas lunch. The men hung out and talked. Brad's dad was in the army so that made it great, he could talk to james about things james knows and they both connected. The turkey dinner was great. I got a brand new UK shirt which I really needed, cause I didn't have one. Bonnie put up socks with name tags for the boys so that they would have stockings. IT was very nice. I really enjoyed it. Everyone was nice to everyone and the day went really well. After lunch Brad and I went and watched the Clamation Christmas with the boys then went home and watched TV and recovered. All is good and life is great, and as long as I can relax I will be ready for school on next Tuesday.

Christmas was a blast. So Christmas eve we spent with Brad's family at the in-laws. Brad's grandma has been sick lately. she goes in for triple by-pass surgery on the 5th so it was nice to get to see her over Christmas. Brad's mom has broken her foot, stress fracture, sh deosn't even know how or when she broke it. Brad's annoying and completely out of control second cousin was there, and his very nice and love to be around first cousins as well. His Uncle was there with his brand new baby. She is about two weeks old, born the beingnig of December. She is sweet and cute, and at this point has a full head of dark brown hair. I made brad hold her, he has to get ready. We want one some day and he had to be ready.

Well Christmas eve is here. We have all our presents, we are ready to go to the crazyness of the family christmas Clothmas party (As Brad's dad calls it due to the large amount of clothes he alwasy gets.) We teach SS this morning but I think we are going to play bible trivia and just have a good time. As everyone is pretty stressed and worn due to the long holiday. Brad and I braved the nicolassville mall on thrusday. that was fun. Then we got the last of our gifts came home, I had my yearly oppointment, then we wrapped presents. Friday we had the gang christmas dinner at Red lobster. SEveral people weren't feeling well and I am going to chalk the complaining up to that. but everyone seemed to have something to complain about. Oh well. Satudary we went to see the new Rocky movie. I cried through teh whole blasted thing. IT was really good. I really liked it. and I apologize to brad for all the guff I gave him about going to see Rocky 6. So Christmas draws closer. I am out of school now so that is great. We are actually buying presents, wrapping them and getting ready for the great day. I decided I had enough sweets last night, and took all of the cookies and fudge we had in the house over to Evan's for him and James. They seemed appreicative. James bought Evan a new DVD player and souround sound so we inheritited the old one so that is pretty cool. I have my yearly check up todady, so that kind of sucks, but at least I will get it over with and be able to enjoy the rest of my break. Well we have to shop today, we still have a few people to get thigns for. Besides we have some free time we need to fill it up.

Okay, so thursay was a blast, lunch with the teachers was great, then we had a gift exchange, I got some simple classroom stuff which was nice, nothing fancy. and since I did't give anything facncy that was great for me. My secret santa gave me a lamp thing,..go figure. Brad's Mom's retirement thign was nice, I knew most of the teachers there so it was enjoyable. Friday was weird. I found out I wasn't getting my christmas check until the 30 when it will do me no good for christmas so that sucks. We got pictures taken for christmas cards, and then went to see Eragon with Tiffy. Great movie, great to see Tiffy, and all in all a great night. THe Party Week Okay Christmas Party week is here I weight in for WW on Wed then it begins. Thrusday- lunch with the teachers from my team, gift exchange. After school, retirement party for Brad's mom Friday- Lunch the school christmas party, secret angel gift Dinner and a Movie with Ken and Tiff Saturday- 9 am cookie baking party with the girls from SS and Bunco 1:30 UK vs. Louisville game 5:30 Sunday School christmas party, white elephant gift Sunday- James comes in After Church, the Volleyball end of the season potluck Monday- After school the Bible study group is having a dinner party at Erins, white elephant gift Tuesday- Volleyball game or three depending on how many we win then if I can make it. BUNCO, ornament excahnge. I don't think I will weight in next week. I might want to give it a chance.

We did it. After much saving, scrimping, and hard work. several hours of looking and about 3 hours of deal making, we have bought ourselves a brand new car. We got monthly payments we can make, and free oil changes for 10 years. It is a Kia Rio. THey are sub-compact cars that have great fuel economy and the bare minimums. It has AC, and a CD player, but no power locks or windows so if you ride with us you have to roll down your own window. It is what is called olive grey, I would call it charcole if I got to name it, with bage interior. This car is off the web site. Ours is a litte darker. we really love our new car. It will definalty make us both getting places easier as we won't have to drive to wincherster quite as often now that I can drive myself and brad can run around town with the jeep. we are very excited. And I think this counts as our christmas presents to each other. it means ofcourse that we won't have alot of extra funds lying around but we think it is...

People keep telling me that they are almost done with their christmas shopping. I jsut want to point out that I haven't bought the frist thing. I get my christmas check on the 15th and can't buy anything until then. I also want to point out that while I love my firends dearly brad and I are not buying alot of gifts this year. So bring on the stress and the weight gaining parties.

Soooo, I am sitting here at the host school. Waiting to be of use. I am supposed to be a score keeper for the match, but we had to be here at 8:00 am with our team, and as an officeal the frist thing I had to do was a 5 min meeting at 9:00 and then my first match at 10:45. So to say that I have had time to kill would be an understatement. so I got on here and thought I would ramble about my morning. It is that time of month and I am feeling very sensitive. everything anyone says feels like a judgement of my being and that is tough. WE had try out for parts for the easter musical last night. The girl who ususally gets all the parts didn't try out so that means that there is a chance that I could get a part. The downside is one part has a solo and the other two are just talking. I would really like to get the solo, but there is no telling what our directer is going to decide. Oh well I shouldn't get upset til he post the decision. Then I will let you know how it is going. Hey it is another week almost over, and so far while it has seemed like the longest week yet it hasn't been a bad week. I would look forward to the weekend if I didn't know that it is packed. We have sixth grade showcase all day saturday. Homework to do Saturday night. SUnday morning I am singing in both services, and doing breakfast for S.S. then lunch and we have practice for Messiah starting at 3:30 and running through til the preformance at 6. Then school starts all over again for another full week of fun in teh.. well snow. That is what they are predicting for tonight. So I am going to count the week in the win category and will make a decision about the week end later.
