Lady Ellice

Sat- Drove out to Menifee Co. (Heard deliverence in my head) for academic team. None of my kids placed top 5 but three of five placed top 10. so I was proud of them. there was some confusion, and on the way home I realized I had forgotten my purse so I couldn't get lunch. I had to wait till I got all the way home which was way to late for me to eat, but I called brad and he had lunch ready when I walked in the door which was really nice. watched basketball all afternoon and I realaxed, took a nap. got stuff ready for breakfast on sunday. Sunday- I went to alot of work ot make breakfast, and then most people weren't hungry or didn't want any. being pregnant, tired and stressed, I took this a little more personaly than I needed to. I felt like i had wasted my time and I shoudl have jsut bought dounuts, people always eat donuts. Oh well. We went home and didn't stay for chruch cause we had to do the easter cantata that night, and I am not good for long periods on my feet. ...

Okay the rest of the week. Oh and I inculded pics of hayden I took on thrusday when we visited. Friday- Brad took me on a date. We went to see 10,000 BC at movie Tavern. It was a blast. He also bought me a new top and pair of pants. It was way fun. We had to get our date in before the NCAA tournoment began cause I won't see him again for a while. WE came home that night to watch the game.. and who would have guessed a tornado would hit the Georgia Dome and postpone the game. Then they moved it to Georgia Tech. and since the Georgia dome sat 30,000, and Georgia TEch only sits 9,000 they refunded a bunch of tickets and deprived us of our fans. And UK's best assit is their fans. Satruday- got up and watched the postponed game. (only family and press were allowed into the game so there was a pitiful crowd.) we lost to georgia (but I think it was all rigged) more on that later. anyway. Then we ended up just hanging out and watching Basketball games. Sunday- SS, Church, lunch...

Tuesday- Got up, went out scraped my car windows, slipped and fell on hte ice. Now my back side hurts and my igo is bruised. Nothing bad, but I was sore for a day or two. Tuesday night we came home, slept til american idol (it was okay, but I never really liked the beatles and that was who they sang) and then went back to sleep til morning. Wednesday- School. AT 1:15 James called me to tell me he was back in teh states. It will still be a couple of weeks before we see him, but he is not getting shot at he is home safe for a while. Came home and brad worked on homework for a while and watched American Idol. I liked the guy that went home, but I can't say I am surpised. Thrusday- (Today) school, then home, we are going to try and see Hayden tonight.

Okay Friday we came home had spagetti (brad's favorite meal), actually I had sauce on bread. My way to get around the burn out on spagetti I got as a MK. Then I went to bed. Slept for several hours, woke up watched some tV and went back to bed. Saturday- the guys came over to play. despite the five inches of snow we got. It was really pretty though, and while brad and I were going out ot get nate brad and I had our snowball fight of the year. One guy didn't really feel well and you could tell by his attitude. which was sullen and touchy, but other than that it was great. after we dropped everyone at home we went to dinner and then came home and relaxed. Sunday- went to SS. (First fliped out cause neither of us had changed our clocks over, but brad bought me a clock last year that changes automatically so we were fine) got breakfast for the class, then went home and watched UK beat Florida(take that you stinky cheating gators) and then took a long nap follwed by more relaxin...

Okay, because of districts I forced myself to go back to work thrusday of last week. It was really tough. I barely made it through each day and was there late both thursday and friday. Friday was our book character day (I will have pictures when I can get them home from school) I dressed up as one of hte wicked stepsisters, and Kelley, the other assitant dressed up as the other. It was alot of fun, but I was on my feet all day Friday taking pictures and what not, and my ren boots are not as comfrotable as my sketchers. NEedless to say that by teh time I got home my feet were swollen and I was ehxausted. Saturday was districts. I was there from 7:30 in the moring until 4:30 at night, and on my feet all day. I know that is not as long a day as Dilly's but it felt horrible to me. My feet hadn't recovered from Friday so by the time I went home I coudl barely walk. My kids did well. We placed in several events, which means we get to go to regionals on teh 22nd. However I ...

Okay first off, I have included pictures from the valentines dinner the guys had for the girls in sunday school. I may have mentioned it, but they cooked, cleaned, and served us a wonderful meal of pork tenderloin, potatos, and salad. It was wonderful and a great way to relax. (the room was a little smoky but that was lack of the correct backing dish and not a over cooking error on their part. aparently they needed a non-deep pan and could only find a deep on. Anyway on to my savior. Monday I did nothing I languished in bed with out the strength or energy to move. Then yesterday, I actually did a load of landry before I got light headed and had to lay down. Today I was going to grit my teeth and go back to work, so that I can convince them that I am hard worker and they want to hire me next year in a full time position. however this morning after the alram had gone off, brad nicely told me to go back to bed. I hadn't been feeling to well since wed. I was achy and sore and very emotional. I thought I was just tired. Thrusday we came home early cause of the ice storm.. I though cool lots of sleep I will feel better. We I didn't. Everything still hurt. I could only lay on one side for a little while before it hurt and I had to roll over. I went to bed about 4 thrusday and with getting up for dinner slpet through til Friday morning. Thankfully we had a snow day in my county. Then I got up and had breakfast, but felt like crap. I thought I might have a temp. so I took a shower, tylonol and laid down with a cool wash cloth on my head. When I took my temp about 30 mins later it was 100.4 which is when they say to call. SO brad called. they called back. They said come see us. SO brad dragged my sorry but out of bed. and we drove up to the dr. Okay.. so there is very little of importance this week, except that.. we are having a girl. It took them quite some time to get her to move enought to see that she was a girl. but in the end the Tech was quite sure that we would be doing our baby room in pink and blue UK. Both brad and I are very excited. I have added a bunch of ultrasoudns out the baby. and One picture of Hayden, that shows him a little more awake and a little more like a cute baby then just a bundle. Sun- Well we went to sunday school. Then since brad sat through the whole class worried about school work, we went ahead and went home. He got school work done, I got some much needed rest. Then I put together a bookshelf for the office. IT has all brad's books on it. I think it looks great. Then around 5 brad went for pizza, and Mike G. showed up for the Super Bowl. He was joined by Nate and later by Evan (he didn't get off work til 7) we had a blast. Durning half time they played Teken Tag. I went to bed as soon as the game was over the guys stayed and watche dhouse before departing. Mon- there were quite a few teachers absent... aparently the stomach virus and strep are runing rampade through our school. I made it through the day. brought brad dinner home, The weather has changed and he woke up with an asthma attack and couldn't breath, so stayed home to recover. Sat- games with the guys, then we went out with Brittany and David. We had planned this weeks before, then it was cancelled and we thought we were staying home to do homework. SO we didn't go to anyone elses to play games, and then it was back on. And we decided that we should do it. So we went to outback for dinner. Which was an adventure at peak hours on a Sat. night. Then we went to the movies. brad and David went to see Rambo, and Brittany and I went to see 27 dresses. It was really cute, better than some of the other romatic movies that have come out recently. And Rambo according to the guys was "the bloodiest movie I have ever seen" I so wouldn't have enjoyed it. Sun- Church, SS. We had breakfast so I made quiche, then we had andi over for lunch. Okay so you probably already saw the baby pictures. I am so proud of Joel and Sonya, they did good. Satruday- We went to David's brithday party at the MExican resturant. IT was way fun. THen we went back and played games for a while. Sunday- it was 4 degrees in teh morning. Not much fun. After church we went to Brad's parents for a delicious lunch of pot roast. then went home. Brad did homework and took a nap, while I took down the christmas decoratiosn and watched the patriots game. we watched a movie. IT was a nice relaxing day. Monday- MLK, We cleaned a little, then wewent grocery shopping. Then we went to lexington and bought a crib. Of course it is still in the box so no picture yet. I will try to get one as soon as we put it together. We had to wait a really long time at Baby r' us, so I was exhaused and tired when we got home. Hayden Blakely Chick, was born yesterday Jan 23 at about 5:00. He weight 5lbs 13 oz and was 19 inches long. He is doing great. Where he was alittle early (but still term) they watched him for a couple of hours and overnight just to make sure he didn't have any trouble breathing, which he didn't Both mom and dad are doing great, although they are completely exhuasted. Grandma and Grandpa are warming to the new titles, and are excited for pictures. I was lucky and had a snow day yesterday so I had a chance to go and enjoy being there when he was born.

Well this has been a pretty boring full week. It was filled with little things and nothing major. Friday we came homeafter dinner at Outback (by the way I am craving steak right now), watched TV and relaxed. Saturday- we got up really late, I cleaned for a little while then we ate lunch (left over outback) then went o lexington to watch the new movie "in the name of hte King" if you like fantasy movies you would enjoy this one. Very predictable, but way loads of fun. and Jason Statom, while a man of few words makes a good action hero. It was alot of fun. Then we came home. Sunday- Sunday school, Church, Lunch (Long johns) then home. I suddenly felt like I had run a maraton and so I stayed in bed all afternoon while brad took care of me and cooked dinner. Monday- School, Academic Team, home for dinner of Chicken Nuggets and Fries, then I went to bed at 5:30. New Years, and other stuff this past week.. For New years eve, I drug my husband who had the flu to Chop House for our yearly steak. Well actually he was the one who said.. well of course, Cough, we are going, moan, I am not missing this, more horrible sounds of teh sick. Anyway he took some strong medicince and we had a blast. My steak was excellent and the dessert was delicous. The Women's mentoring Purse party was last week as well. I went with Brittany. Since I am not a purse person, and don't own an extra, Brittany brough one of her old ones for me. Which was way fun. I really wanted the pink pokadot bag that Erin ended up with, but once it had gone to her three times I couldn't steal it again. For a while it looked like I was going to end up with this little woven over the sholder bag( which looked like one of the three purses I do already own) but a twist of fate, and grace from another player let me go home with a cute little brown leather purse. Okay, after the rush that was most of last week and the beginning of this week. Brad and I decided that it was time to slow down, catch up on some sleep and relax. Wednesday- we returned some clothes to wal-mart that didn't fit, and did nothign else.. ah.. it was great, watch tV I actually went to bed at 5:30 pm and slept through until thrusday morning. It was so nice. Thrusday- relaxing. Then we went to the Metcalfs for dinner. It was great, Chicken and Dumplings. Then we played Wii Golf. (brad was at a disadvantage, as everyone else had established characters and I played a premade pro. He did get a new character and that means if we play more he will get better,) in the in the girls beat teh guys. Then we played some Rook, a very close game that the metcalfs won by 30 points. It was very enjoyable. Then we played Lord of the Rings Trivial prsuit. WOW.. some of the questiosn were out there. but it was way fun. Merry Christmas Okay the Christmas season is finally winding down. Friday, being crazy and all we went christmas shopping. Which we did finally accomplish (we even went to the lexington mall, which may or may not have been a good idea.) while we were there I made some very mean comments about a certian UK famous basketball player. Brad wanted to buy this picture of him shoting for the baby's room, and IW as like "dude look at all that underarm hair just hanging out htere. I don't wnat that in a baby's room." brad made fun of me for making fun of a UK player. We turned around and I said "hey who is that guy signing picutres.." and brad after getting his voice back said "Cameron mills." So then we bought another picture with him shooting and no underarm hair, that he signed for us. After the shopping we had dinner at Carinos and then went to see National Treasure 2.
