Baby is sick, daddy is sick, mommy is going insane :)
So Brad has walking pnemonia. They say he got it from some cold oddly though he got most of his cold symptoms after he had started the antibiodic. (we think he picked something else up from school). We got through family pictures (those will come later.) and then started the grand tradition of last minute christmas shopping.
Then the baby came down with cold symptoms again. Now she just got over an ear infection. and the antibiodic made the cold symptoms go away, so we were a little surprised when they came right back. Then she started not sleeping and crying l ike she was in pain. so we though teething. Then she started coughing at night Saturday night. we checked and a dry cough is the result of a dry room so we got out hte humidifier and turned it up. Cough went away for the day. but she was really fussy all day sunday. thought still teething, chewing on everything drooling, problems eating.
Then monday morning she wakes up with a cough again, and this time she is wheezing. I call the dr. They say, probably nothing, but if I want I can bring her in to check her ear to make sure it is not infected still or again. I say yep that sounds good. By the time we get to the dr. she is wheezing so hard that the dr. can hear her when she walks in the room, with out the stehtscope. SO she checks her lungs, and says they are going to try a breathing treatment. and then go from there. so they swab her nose to check a few differnt thing while we hold hte nebulizer over her face so she can inhale the abuderal (she does not like the nebulizer.) She also has her toungh out so they check and she has a couple of teeth just trying to break the surface, which are another reason why she is cranky. They come back say the test for RSV is positive and that hte breathing treatment made a great differnce, her wheeze went away for a while and she was breathing better. SO we get to take one home and give it to her every 4-6 hours for a couple of days, and every night before bed for the next week or so. I will try to get daddy to take a picture of her with her breathing mask.
She feels better this morning, and with the nebulizer and some tylonol slept okay last night. she is not sleeping all the way through the night right now, but that is okay. At least we are home for 2 weeks so she doens't have to go to daycare and she can jsut relax.

I hope that in the middle of all of it, you find some peace and rest for yourself without feeling forced to 'do Christmas.'
