So yesterday was the last day with the kids. It was wild it was crazy but everyone made it. They were right there was no way I could have been out for any reason this week and it have not been a disaster. On the plus side they know they need me. AS far as my posistion for next year, it is in the hands of the funding (director of Sp. Ed.) if the funding is there I get the job, if the job is not there I have no where to go back to. on the plus side they still need a BD teacher and if any one else leaves that would let me slide in, and the prinicpal is going to make every effort to keep me cause I do my job well and lets face it who else really wants to do my job :) on the baby front, I have reached the point whereI am very swollen by the end of every school day. it goes down by the next morning. so summer being here shoudl help me keep that in more control. So I thought today was going to be just a lazy kind of day, until I got up this morning. 1st: had to rebudget cause my student loans came due. that was full of tears and crying as it just doesn't seem like there was enough to go around, we did find it though although again other things had to give. Got rid of cable again this year. basketball is over so cable said bye-bye. 2nd: after much nahsing of teeth over the budget and paying bills Student loan is messed up on line and demanding 2x was they said we owned. so we have to wait and call them and sort it all out on monday. 3rd: brad went to cook breakfast and there was some oil/grease in the drip pan from the stove from where I made fried chicken last night. WELL it didn't all get cleaned out and suddnly brad is yelling "fire, Fire!!" sure enough flames are leaping up from the burner about 2 feet in the air. Brad tells laurana to go to her room, while i fish the baking soda out of the fridge and put the fire out. Af...

So I really should post more often. Lets see. Big news Laurana has moved from her crib into a big girl bed or a "bug gurl bed" if you ask her. We got her a new bed spread with Tinkerbell who she calls "princess" and new mat, one of those foamy things for her floor. She was thrilled. the frist night she came out 4 or 5 times and it took 45 minutes to get her to stay in bed. the second night was 17 minutes, 3rd nigh was down to 10 and the last few nights she has gone down with out getting back out. Of course she doesn't stay down as well for naps. but she is sitll taking a nap, which is good cause mommy needs that break. We are trying to prepare for the addition of baby Jareth to the family. Get the crib ready, try to get some baby boy clothes. and prepare Laurana for not being the center of the world. the frist things are going well. Laurana still doesn't seem to know what is coming. :) We made it to spring break. Testing in Kentucky was moved to May, which ...

So she needs about 3.5 months to really be a two year old.. however her new favorite phrases are... "I get it..." "I do it..." and "Laurana's Turn" I think we might want to just call her in the twos and be done with it. mommy has worked really hard to teacher her.. "mommy, help" or who ever else needs to help. Cause there ahve been a lot of things that she has told me "I do it." but can't really do by herself. thus "mommy help" I have to say she is talking more and more each day. in full sentences. right now she has also taken up the phrase. "funny girl" "I sorry" she tells us "green light" and "red light" to which she holds up her hands and crys out "stop" Her favorite foods are bagels and yogurt. she eats an adult size yogurt in seconds. she is starting to label colors although she still doesn't get them right all the time. she does however know a circle, star, he...

So it has been several months since I blogged last. Let me hit the highlights. 1. got injured at work (I deal with volitile students) It was a work related injury. so I am covered by workers comp. but this is still a bad time as I got injured right after I announced that I was pregnant. That being said I had the 1st of 2 surgerys. my knee was locked and I couldn't walk. they were worried that as I got more pregnant I would become more unstable and a fall and further injury would be an issue. So they fixed my miniscus (the cartilage stuff between your knee) and will fix the ACL after I am done being pregnant. the surgery was not horrible, even though they couldn't give me a general and I had to have a local. the days after when the local wore off and I couldn't take anything for the pain were pretty bad, but now a month later, I can walk and the pain is just a memory. 2. We have announced that we are having our second child, which we know to be a boy (name not announced ye...

I just realized that the last time I was pregnant a bunch of my friends were pregnant with me. there was comfort in the fact that others were going through it with me. This time is different because there is only one other person I know who is pregnant right now. I feel alittle alone right now. I guess it just has to do with my pregnancy, and the fact that I don't get out much. I think I need to spend more time with friends, I am starting to feel like a hermit (like brad :) actually with basketball in full swing brad has seen more of his freinds lately then I have of mine. I need to get out more :)

Friday was nana's birthday. Since we never know what to get them for birthdays, like Grandpa, we cooked her something. Nana loves cookies so Laurana and I made sugar cookies for her. Shee the cute video of Laurana rolling and cutting below. She ahd so much fun and got flour on everything. Then I changed her and she made a card for nana usisng markers.. see her baby decorations below, cause the drawing didn't stay on the paper. Then we had to give her a bath. We went over to nana's with icing and decorations. As you can see shemostly ate icing instead o putting it on cookies. But mommy and Nana decorated cookies well.

WE had a really good snow yesterday (for us) so we dressed little bear up in her full winter gear and took her out to let her play in teh snow. She loved it. She plowed through the knee deep (on her) snow, and made snow balls, she even laid down like she was going to make a snow angel. (she didn't) then she looked over at mommy, shivvered and went straight to the door to go back in. We were outside about 20 minutes. WE also got our christmas tree and other decorations up today. I am very proud cause last year we didnt' get them up til like the day before christmas.

Yes I know it has been forever since I blogged. This time of year has been very busy. I was injured at work, by a student, and have torn up my knee. At this point, I can't straighten it and there for can't really walk on it. It happened the week before thanksgiving. I am up to walking on just one crutch, but it does make things difficult. Lala has had a cold on an off, the joys of her frist year in day care. but things ahve also been fun. Thanks to Brittany we had a good pie day. I will admit I cheated and used premade curst this year. At the time I couldn't even stand without pain. Thanks to Jan and Phyllis we had a great cookie bake this year. by then I could move around on one crutch and in my rolly chair. so that went way better. WE baked a ton of cookies. Lala helped she had alot of fun, but didn't like to share the cookie cutters. She wanted both all the time. she also learned a new trick from jan's son. He is a year, and about 7 months youhger. h...

Hey yall.. Things around here are good. As you can see from the video baby girl is growing big. Yes those are clean panties around her neck. She has learned how to put things around her neck like shirts, skirts, and panties. She has also learned to dance. She knows how to turn my clock radio on so that it will play music. It is funny except when daddy is trying to sleep and she goes over and turns the radio on for him. then not as funny.. for daddy anyway. Still can't tell if she likes daycare or not. Some days are great and some she just cries all day. I think she likes it except by the end of hte week she is tired. At home and grandma's she is still getting two naps a day, because she wants them. At day care only one nap a day.. so I think she is just tired. We are hoping to get down to Nanny's house this weekend. She hasn't been feeling too well and we thought a visit from Princess Lala would cheer her up. School is going good. I love my job, yes I kno...

We went to the pumpkin patch yesterday. Wow, Last year we went the week before Halloween and it as cold and there was no one there, and not alot of pumpkins left. this eyar it was nice weather and there were a ton of people there. Laurana loved the bunnies, chickens and the goats. She wanted to get in with the goat. she loved the big spider haybale. and she had fun wiht daddy in the corn maze and the haybale maze. all in all it was a delightful trip and I can't wait to do it again next year.

So here we have Laurana teaching everyone how to play cornhole at the church picnic. As per usual the church picnic and hte "walk to remember" were on the same day. being really tired from a week at work, and Laurana teething, we dcided taht we were goint to just do the picnic. besides the walk and seeing Hope's grave are always really hard and we wanted to try to focus on Lala this year.
