So Brad, Laurana and I went out for family pictures at walmart on Dec. 18th. Yes we know that it took us a long time to get the posted, but I had some trouble with the size of them. Now I got it figured out. so no worries.

So Brad has walking pnemonia. They say he got it from some cold oddly though he got most of his cold symptoms after he had started the antibiodic. (we think he picked something else up from school). We got through family pictures (those will come later.) and then started the grand tradition of last minute christmas shopping. Then the baby came down with cold symptoms again. Now she just got over an ear infection. and the antibiodic made the cold symptoms go away, so we were a little surprised when they came right back. Then she started not sleeping and crying l ike she was in pain. so we though teething. Then she started coughing at night Saturday night. we checked and a dry cough is the result of a dry room so we got out hte humidifier and turned it up. Cough went away for the day. but she was really fussy all day sunday. thought still teething, chewing on everything drooling, problems eating. Then monday morning she wakes up with a cough again, and this time she is wheezing....

So right in the middle of D&D Saturday Laurana woke up from her nap feeling warm. I took her temp and it was 99.3. then she got really cranky. Brad said we might need to quit but the group agreement was since she went back down to sleep to try and get finished before she woke up again. After everyone left and she woke back up we check her temp again. this time it was up to 101.3. We of course called our pediatrion. They said that as long as it stayed below 103 it wasn't anything to worry about, and gave us some pointers on making her feel better and bring down the temp. At 9:00 when she got up for her night bottle it was 102. Then in the middle of the night when I moved her into the cradle in our room, she didn't feel warm at all. Of course I ddin't wake her to check. Come mornign still with teh fever. 101 Then throught he rest of hte day it would go down when she slept and then back up while she was awake. Due to teh busy nature of life, I am sorry this post is so over due. So I went to homecoming again. this year was a little depressing. I saw Christina for about two seconds, but she needed to be somewhere else. I saw matt from a distance. Rudge and Tiffany were there, and they are expecting their frist, The artist Formaly known as Marva was there, but no one else of hte people I really went with was there. No one wanted to go to dinner and brad and I just went home after choir. Actually we walked over and looked at the chapel where we got married but that was about it. kind of sad. The following tuesday, my parents arrived in town. they are staying with Joel and Sonya for the first week so that is cool, and they are going to move in with use the tuesday before thanksgivng. We managed to borrow a bed from Brad's parents, THanks again Bonnie and Jim, so my parents don't have to sleep on the floor. It has been great fun. Check up Laurana had her 4 month check up this week. It was a couple weeks late, but not bad. They said that she was a very healthy baby. she weighted 15.7lbs, was 25.75 inches tall that is 85% for height and 73% for weight, so she is doing great. They gave her four vacciences, three shots and one by mouth. She did not like the shots and you could tell she knew something was coming. WHen they started wiping her leg with the swap she stopped smiling and started watching hte nurse very closely. SHe didn't scream as long, but she has been pretty cranky all day and started running a low fever this evening. I gave her some tylonol and she should be fine. they said that what we were feeding the baby was just right, all we have to do now is add a vegetable at lunch and she will be great. so that was good news. Still haven't heard from the car people, but they said they would call when they had an estamte so we wait.

So we packed up the baby, and all our stuff and headed to tenn. to visit grandma and see my mom and dad as they were coming into town. also my uncles were both going to be in town, making it the first itme they had all been together in a while. like 15 years. so we were around mile marker 30 something on the cumberline parkway, when a deer came out of no wehre. brad swerved managing to glance it rather than hitting it straight on. the front corner of the car is smashed. Brad pulled off, and we stopped got out I checked the baby and she started to cry when the door opened and the cold air hit her. (so she slept through the deer.) then we proceeded to call all the people we needed including 911. it tooke them a while to find us since we didn't know what exit we had passed last. then we waited for the tow, Laurana and I got to ride in a cop car, and then we waited in White castle while Uncle john and steve drove two hours to get us. then we drove down to grandmas. Okay so lets see this week.. wow.. Monday- we had a day off so we slept, and tried.. no wait we carved pumpkins and started cleaning our house. Tuesday- Two volleyball games, we won one and lost one. But of course no one beats First United MEthodist.. as Bobby said "they have been playing to gether since 1932" so they are a great team. We however always have a few new people every year, so we are always learning.. of course there have been games where no new people showed up and we still lose, but man do we ever have fun playing. Brad and bobby played bumper volleyball, and I am sure bobby is as brused as Brad. It was fun, but exhausting. Wed- We had the blue white game. THat was fun, Laurana was great, she was awake the whole time, but no fussing. Mostly she just looked around a little overwhelmed. She even ate part of a bottle. So This weekend was fall break. Thrusday- Brad was home with little bear while I went to a PD. I wish I could have stayed home with them. Friday- Target to spend some gift cards, Walmart to get groceries, and then home to enjoy the evening. at the last minute we ended up babysitting for some friends so they could do date night... which worked out cause then we had a few dollars for our Date night. It was fun, we watched both little mermaid movies. THey helped me feed Laurana her night bottle, and then came up stairs and sang her Jesus Loves me as a lullabye.. it was so cute. I should have taped it but I missed it. Anyway. That was fun. Saturday- we did very little in the morning, enjoyed the day. For dinner, we cooked dinner and took it over to See the Maucks and their little one. She is way cute. So brad was told about a job, he applied the principal called him. Brad said I am not certified for Science but I could go back to school later to fix that. the guy said come in for in interview. Brad's mom even gave him money to buy pants with no holes. he goes to the interview and gets told..."well I really want someone certified and with exprence, but I thought I shoudl at least talk to you." so he knew ahead of time that he wasn't going to hire brad, but he got his hopes up just to dash them down again. needless to say that brad is really having a tough time. He prayed for a long time about whether or not go go back to school, and what to go for. and now he can't get a job and he his stuck in a job where they treat him bad, and it is very disheartening. Men, and to a lesser dregree women, base part of their identiy on their job. Brad is a genius working as a teaching assistant. He is pretty tore up about it. Okay, let see, our 4th annavsary was this week. We have been married four years. It feels a little longer. I guess we have just packed alot into it and that makes it seem longer. I am really very happy/glad, that I married brad. He has been supportive when I have been flipping out. He takes care of me, and needs me, he is calmed by me when he is flipping out, he has created the cutest little bear with me, we have shared laughs, football games, Musicals, movies, TV shows, books, basketball games, tears, hardship, lack of funs... in short, the better and the worse, the richer and the poorer, the sickness and the health, alaughter and the sorrow, I married a very specail man and I am truly blessed because of it. I can't thank God enough that He saved bard for me. As for First, this week the baby slept all night for the first time. We fed her at 9:00 pm, put her down and she doesn't get up til around 7:30. Monday- School, then I go and pick up the baby, drive back to winchester, pick up brad and we go meet the new allergy guy(gal) , that took over after his other doc got himself killed a couple months ago. She was actually better in my mind. She listened to brad more, gave more feed back and finally gave him a presription for a antihistemine so once we get that filled it should be great. then home to .. no wait, we had to grocery shop before we could go home. Tuesday- School, teacher's meeting, then home to walk over to Parks and REc, and do 2 games of Volleyball, that turned in two one and a scrimmage.. we Rosie, Brittany's mom was not there, and Brit called during one of hte game,s and I didn't answer, then int he middle of the second game I put two and two to gether and Check my voice mail.. sure enough her water had broken and she was ...

So after last weeks stress, this week has been much better. Monday- Laurana Stayed with Grandma and Grandpa, (casue they missed her). She had alot of fun. After School Brad went out and applied for several Part time jobs. We have figured out that we jsut need about 15 hours worth of extra income to put us in a better place. He is hoping to get a job at hastings, but we shall see. He has had lots of times where people said they were going to give him a job and then it fell threw so.... we wait (and that own't happen til beginning of Oct. either way.) Tuesday- School, Then Grocery shopping (cause you shop on Payday even if it is a horrible day to do it). then Volleyball practice. It was alot of fun there was another team there this week so we could scrimmage. Wednesday- School. Then we walked to church.. It is a long way to chruch from our house. Lets see.. Everyone is feeling better. Baby Girl's flu is going away. She is sleeping through the night without the stuffy nose waking her. we are going to move her back to her crib tonight. Monday was labor day- we stayed home with a sick baby and played D&D all day. brad and I played in the morning and then I started running my first adventure in the afternoon with nate. Tuesday- brad stayed home and then took the baby to the dr. I met them there. Then brad went to Volleyball Wednesday- I stayed home from school to help the baby feel better. It worked out as God's plan cause our babysitter for the day found out that a relitive had died and she was able to go be with them without worrying about Laurana. We went to church and Laurana got very fussy. She spent some time with Grandma in teh Libaray but she was being a pill... Gas and over tired. Thrusday- Her first day at hte day care/babysitter place. she did good. She came home smelling like dog and we had to give her a bat...

So laurana has had the cold crud.. we she started acting worse, crying more and without apparent reason. pulling at one ear on ocassion, arching her back in pain, not sleeping well, not being awake well. just acting sick... so today brad took off work to keep her home and take her to the dr. I got out of work a little early to go with them to the dr. .. turns out she doesn't have an ear infection, she has a virus. Dr. Straub says you treat all viruses the same, liquids, in her case formula, rest, as much as she will take and don't worry if she seems to not be awake alot, jsut so long as she wakes to eat, and some love and care. make sure people use hand sanitizer and wash there hands around her. We also have to keep sucking hte snot out of her little nose. By the way there is nothing wrong with ehr lungs... let me tell you.. she screamed at hte dr when he was checking her ears, and before they could even prick her foot she knew what it was from the NICU and started to kick and ...

I am doing this one handed so be forgiving... of course i have never been able to type/spell even with two hands :) Pictures are curtisey of Tina Well this week has been interesting. Laurana has had her first set of allergies or her first cold. we of course are not sure which. What ever I had she got. She has had hte runny nose, the baby cough (which is really cute) and nasel congestion. She was up almost all night Thrusday - Friday mommy and daddy got like 2 hours of sleep. She just couldn't sleep cause there was to much gunk in her nose and she didn't know how to get it out and we can't give her babynighttime.. cause there is none. However she is feeling better today (saturday) everything sounds loser, and she slept much better last night. So yea for that. She also spent her first week going to her differnt sitters all week. She has fun at Jennifers, she has two other kids to play with. I think she is going to love that when she gets a little older and understands pla tim...

Okay 1st off I have that Allergy Cold like crud. the kind that gives you a sinus headache cause your sinus passages are stuffed full of snot.. (pleasent picture huh) and you have to blow your nose a lot. also the drainage down teh back of my throat gives me a sore throat and a pretty unpleaseant cough. But I will live through it. Some sinus rinse, Oj, and rest.. oh.. rest.. uh... not likely.. but we shall see. Laurana had her 2 month shots today. And she did not enjoy them. She is now 10 lbs 14 oz. She is 23 inches long. She is growing big and strong. She was healthy when the dr. did her check. She laughed and smiled at him. then she laughed and smiled at hte nurse.. until she stuck that needle in her leg. her eyes got huge and she screammed. It took her a while to calm down. a busy week followed by a busy weekend. This was our first full week of school. Laurana did okay with sitters all week (mostly Grandma and Grandpa) she wants to be around us when she gets home though. We can't put her down for a nap until she has had a chance t o be in our room with us, or doing something with us in the room. then after her 7:30 bottle she sleeps in her own room with out any complaints. I think she misses us andwants to be around us. This weekend, we went shopping for pants for me, all the stuff we need for her inculding tall bottles, she is taking a few 6 oz bottles a day and we needed tall bottles so we didn't have to feed her four and then pour two more in. then we hit walmart. She rode in her snugli (front carrier) she wouldn't let me put her face out cause she kept turning around to look up at me and getting a creek in her neck. but when I turned her around to face me, she whined til I put hte sides down so she could see. then she watched all the cool ...
