Okay UK is in the elite 8, and brad is in a great mood. Today we took Laurana to the church easter egg hunt. We were pretty excited. she got dressed up. they had the playground set up for the little ones. it was fun, she got to grab the little eggs they had put out. she also got to ride on the slide with daddy.

It is offical, Laurana can crawl forward. She did it a bunch yesterday for daddy. Daddy took his personal day so he could stay home and watch the 1st day of the NCAA tornoment. they had a blast together. She also has taken to the colossol fit a couple of nights now. she is exhausted but jsut doesn't want to go to sleep. last night took 20 mins with some screaming involoved. but this morning she woke up none hte worse for wear happy and smily. and last night at 9 when we got her up for her late bottle is when we got the video of her crawling so obviously she was not to put out with us. I think she just is cranky in the early evening. Cause brad said she was smily all day. in other news this has been about the worse week I have had in a long time. On Tuesday I got called in to the princpal to check on a report from a parent. of coruse it was something I had not heard at schoool. Kids like to go home and tell mom not the teacher, but that was take care of, but it stressed me out, and ...

Okay I am a horrible Blogger this month. I know it has been weeks. Let me see if I can catch you up. In Brad News: UK has a good chance of winning hte SEC and getting a 1 seed in the NCAA. This makes brad very very happy. His working conditions have not really improved, but they ahve not gotten worse either. Please pray that God will provide the right job for him next year. something that is equal to his education and were he can get a little more respect. In Ellice News: we are gearing up to host regional Gov. cUp, which is stressing me out a little. but other than that I got new contacts and glasses, and I really love my job, so that is good. In Laurana news: we got the first of our upper teeth. came in on Monday. just poked right through and is moving out more and more each day. She has gone back to her normal smiley happy, giggly self. She can crawl backwards iwth great ease, and and forward with help and carpet. she also says mommy, daddy, baba (bottle) and can make her walker go ...

So today was disticts for Academic team. We spent the whole day at Strode. Little bear spent the day with Aunt Sonya and Cousin Hayden. She had alot of fun. she was all smily and having a great day. After a two hour snow delay, that didn't get posted on the TV so I was supposed to call all my students, but I didn't have all their numbers cause there are like 25 of them and it was supposed to be on the TV. Several of them got there at 8, but luckly the building was open and a great parent waited with them til I could get there. I had to go to school for imporant papers I forgot, which Ms. O'hair came and let me in, (yea, for ms. O'hair) then we started, I had to change some students at the last minute when one of them didn't show up. Then I had a studnet that didn't get called (or didn't hear his name cause he was play DS) and was jsut sitting there, when I found him 10 mins later after they ahd started. but they let him test in a room alone so it was okay. W...

For Valentines day this year Brad out did himself. First he he bought me a beautiful red rose. Then he got Laurana a Teddy bear that said be mine and a cool box that makes a neat nose when you hit it and has lots of fun flashy sides and different textured cornors. Then he fixed my new laptop so that it would do what it was supposed to do. then he cooked me dinner. London Broil, green bean italiana, baked potato, cresent rolls, salad.. a nd a nice wine to top it off. it was a wonderful meal. Then he made dessert, deforsted chocolate whip pie. Which was wonderful. and a card that was so sweet it made me cry. All in all I would say that I lucked out when it came to husbands. I really feel like the goes to alot of work to make things special for m e.

Here is little Bear and Daddy Playing ball. She is really getting big, and is generally a happy baby, although some of her new noises don't sound like it. She also sounds so sad when she eats and then is completely happy two minutes later. Oh well. she sleeps well and plays well. andshe loves to just be put on hte floor with her toys and left to play.

So friday I came down with what I thought was another yeast infection. I was pretty tore up. that is one a month for the past six months. this is getting really old. So I took the meds they gave me. and .. it didn't go away. In fact it just got worse. and worse. So on Monday I went to work half day then went to my Ob Dr. Had to wait forever and a day even though i was the first appointment after lunch and there was no one in the waiting room when I got there. very annoying. If they weren't such good dr. I would go some where else the wait could kill me. anyway. they decided that it looked like a bactera not a yeast. so now I am on an antibiodic and things are getting better every day. They said that might be why it kept flareing up each month. so this might take care of it. (however antibodicts cause yeast infections so I hae that med for when I finish this one.) oh the fun. Then On Monday on the way home, I wasn't feeling good and the stress from the babysitter issuse was ...

so my heart says, "God will provide, he will get you a babysitter for little bear, now that we are losing two babysitters, and somehow there will be enough money to pay all your bills now that obama's great jack up your creidt card payment plan has gone into effect." My head says..."AHAHAHAGGGGGG, we can't pay all our bills now, and we will have to skip work to take care of the baby. But since I can't come up with more moeny, and I can only pray about people to babysit, I guess I am going to have to try to drown out my head with my heart. Lets see if it works. :)

Last friday Laurana was cranky at grandpa's and when we got there we found out she had a new tooth breaking through the surface. Saturday was trying as she was cranky and kept rubbing her gums and crying. Sunday we skipped sunday school and just went to chruch. Laurana slept for about 45 mins before we left so she wasn't as cranky during church. but once chruch was over adn we were at the potfaith, she was very cranky and not wanting to eat well as her tooth was bothering her again. Monday, we decided to go to the dollar theater and see Couple's retreat. We were late leaving hte house, late dropping her off and by the time we got the lexington, we hadn't eatten and teh movie was starting, so we decided to go to the other theater and see if there was something we could watch there. so instead of paying 11$ for a dollar movie popcorn and the not, we paid alot more to see Avitar in 3D at the regualr theater, with popcorn and hotdogs. so We brought her down yesterday morning and put her in her high chair so that she could play with her linkadoos while we packed lunches, got breakfast and loaded the car. She likes to look at hte cars go by so brad had pulled her high chair over next to the window. I looked over and she was leaning toward the window, and looked like she was just chilling. Then I went over the check on ehr and noticed that her hand was playing in the dirt in our potted ivy in the window. Then I noticed that Not only was her hand covered in Dirt but hse had dirt in her mouth. So I took a few pictures, wiped it out, and she seems to be just fine. She laughed when I called daddy to see her dirt covered smile.

So school is off to a great start this year. Teachers had an inseviece day on Monday. Lots got done, then we had a snow day on Tuesday. School on Wednesday.. and then snow days on Thrusday and friday. that is right one day with students this week, and only two days of work. I would have liked to go at least one more day thsi week but I am not going to complain, there is too much good in it. Brad andI have celebrated our snow week but playing video games playing with little princess bear and relaxing. Little bear can now sit up pretty well, she reaches for things, puts everything in her mouth, can kind of use her cup (you have to tilt it for her, she can get it in her mouth but doesn't realize you have to tilit it). She can scoot around in her walker (I know the pediaticts society says walkers are evil but she lvoes hers). All and all it has been a great week. We were awake most of new year's eve to new years day with a very fussy baby. she screamed on new years eve when we put her down for a nap, she was just fussy fussy fussy. Then Evan was in a car aceddent on the road back from lancaster, hydroplaned and went into a gaurd rail. mom and dad came over NYeve and said by we dropped him off at the dr. we are leaving for tenn can you take care of him. It was a shock, but somethign we were very happy do do. So we picked him up. waited while mom and dad got a new tire after getting a flat, picked a key up from them. Took Evers to get his meds, to get his car from berea, took it to a collison place. They said more than the car is worth to fix. He is going to look into some other options and see what to do. We took him to lunch them home to sleep. Since we went out to lunch we forwent out year steak dinner nad went to see Sherlock Holms instead. Okay this is a new year for us. and 2009 was way better than 2008, so we look forward to a new and exciting 2010. Recap 2009 Jan: . found out we were having a girl. Ice storm, lost water and power for a while Got to go see Wicked. Feb: Recovered from Ice storm. Won Districts with Academic Team. March: got three new students in 3 days, had a wild month at school. got to go to UK game. April: painted baby's room, Went to a materity fair, Hope's 1st Brithday (got through with minimal tears) May: Found Out I was rehired to teach again at same school for next school year..(1st). So Brad, Laurana and I went out for family pictures at walmart on Dec. 18th. Yes we know that it took us a long time to get the posted, but I had some trouble with the size of them. Now I got it figured out. so no worries.

So Brad has walking pnemonia. They say he got it from some cold oddly though he got most of his cold symptoms after he had started the antibiodic. (we think he picked something else up from school). We got through family pictures (those will come later.) and then started the grand tradition of last minute christmas shopping. Then the baby came down with cold symptoms again. Now she just got over an ear infection. and the antibiodic made the cold symptoms go away, so we were a little surprised when they came right back. Then she started not sleeping and crying l ike she was in pain. so we though teething. Then she started coughing at night Saturday night. we checked and a dry cough is the result of a dry room so we got out hte humidifier and turned it up. Cough went away for the day. but she was really fussy all day sunday. thought still teething, chewing on everything drooling, problems eating. Then monday morning she wakes up with a cough again, and this time she is wheezing....

So right in the middle of D&D Saturday Laurana woke up from her nap feeling warm. I took her temp and it was 99.3. then she got really cranky. Brad said we might need to quit but the group agreement was since she went back down to sleep to try and get finished before she woke up again. After everyone left and she woke back up we check her temp again. this time it was up to 101.3. We of course called our pediatrion. They said that as long as it stayed below 103 it wasn't anything to worry about, and gave us some pointers on making her feel better and bring down the temp. At 9:00 when she got up for her night bottle it was 102. Then in the middle of the night when I moved her into the cradle in our room, she didn't feel warm at all. Of course I ddin't wake her to check. Come mornign still with teh fever. 101 Then throught he rest of hte day it would go down when she slept and then back up while she was awake. Due to teh busy nature of life, I am sorry this post is so over due. So I went to homecoming again. this year was a little depressing. I saw Christina for about two seconds, but she needed to be somewhere else. I saw matt from a distance. Rudge and Tiffany were there, and they are expecting their frist, The artist Formaly known as Marva was there, but no one else of hte people I really went with was there. No one wanted to go to dinner and brad and I just went home after choir. Actually we walked over and looked at the chapel where we got married but that was about it. kind of sad. The following tuesday, my parents arrived in town. they are staying with Joel and Sonya for the first week so that is cool, and they are going to move in with use the tuesday before thanksgivng. We managed to borrow a bed from Brad's parents, THanks again Bonnie and Jim, so my parents don't have to sleep on the floor. It has been great fun. Check up Laurana had her 4 month check up this week. It was a couple weeks late, but not bad. They said that she was a very healthy baby. she weighted 15.7lbs, was 25.75 inches tall that is 85% for height and 73% for weight, so she is doing great. They gave her four vacciences, three shots and one by mouth. She did not like the shots and you could tell she knew something was coming. WHen they started wiping her leg with the swap she stopped smiling and started watching hte nurse very closely. SHe didn't scream as long, but she has been pretty cranky all day and started running a low fever this evening. I gave her some tylonol and she should be fine. they said that what we were feeding the baby was just right, all we have to do now is add a vegetable at lunch and she will be great. so that was good news. Still haven't heard from the car people, but they said they would call when they had an estamte so we wait.

So we packed up the baby, and all our stuff and headed to tenn. to visit grandma and see my mom and dad as they were coming into town. also my uncles were both going to be in town, making it the first itme they had all been together in a while. like 15 years. so we were around mile marker 30 something on the cumberline parkway, when a deer came out of no wehre. brad swerved managing to glance it rather than hitting it straight on. the front corner of the car is smashed. Brad pulled off, and we stopped got out I checked the baby and she started to cry when the door opened and the cold air hit her. (so she slept through the deer.) then we proceeded to call all the people we needed including 911. it tooke them a while to find us since we didn't know what exit we had passed last. then we waited for the tow, Laurana and I got to ride in a cop car, and then we waited in White castle while Uncle john and steve drove two hours to get us. then we drove down to grandmas. Okay so lets see this week.. wow.. Monday- we had a day off so we slept, and tried.. no wait we carved pumpkins and started cleaning our house. Tuesday- Two volleyball games, we won one and lost one. But of course no one beats First United MEthodist.. as Bobby said "they have been playing to gether since 1932" so they are a great team. We however always have a few new people every year, so we are always learning.. of course there have been games where no new people showed up and we still lose, but man do we ever have fun playing. Brad and bobby played bumper volleyball, and I am sure bobby is as brused as Brad. It was fun, but exhausting. Wed- We had the blue white game. THat was fun, Laurana was great, she was awake the whole time, but no fussing. Mostly she just looked around a little overwhelmed. She even ate part of a bottle.
